According to the order of Chief Educational Officer 17371/D1/90 dated 15.10.1990 the “School Reforms Conference was to be held in our school. A sum of Rs.1, 16,082/- was collected as contribution from the parents who were interested in the welfare of the school. This money was utilized for buying 100 benches and desks. On 10.08.1991 “School Reforms Conference” was held in our school which was presided by the Chief Education Officer.

Every year our school produces good pass percentage in the 10th and 12th board exams. Particularly in the academic year 1990-91, our school produced 93% in the 12th std board exam and it was first in North Chennai Educational District. Our school teachers have been sincerely working with dedication for the success of our school and students.

In the academic year 1991-92 Rupees Five Lakhs was spent by our school management to construct seven modern well ventilated classrooms above the lab. Separate steel gate was designed for the usage of Higher Secondary students. A stump was constructed in the academic year 1992-93 to meet the water requirement of the students. Rs.1, 25,000 was spent for cleaning and cooling the water for the usage of the students. On 15.09.1992, Honorable C.M. Puratchi Thalaivar MGR Noon Meal Scheme centre was started with 22 gas cylinders and 6 gas stoves in a modern kitchen in our school proper drainage system, fine extinguishers and exhaust fans were the special features added along with this scheme. A proper dining facility for students to have their lunch was also taken care.

According to the order of CEO RC No.3768/E1/93 dated 03.05.93 the school reforms conference motivated the parents to contribute money to buy 125 chairs and tables, which were used by the students from 09.10.93. W.P.A.Soundarapandian Centenary function was celebrated in the academic year 1993-1994, to enhance the quality of education of our school students. To commemorate this occasion, a foundation stone was laid by Dr.Rajan Santhosam MS MCH FICA FICS Facs on 20.07.92. A sum of rupees 15 lakhs was spent to build 15 modern classrooms on the north side, which was opened by Thiru.P.Ramachandra Adhithyan, proprietor of Malai Murasu on 09.10.1993.

In the academic year 1992-93, the vocational stream was started in our school. During the academic year 1994-95, Rs.3 lakhs was allotted to provide separate staff rooms for male and female teachers. Separate rooms were allotted for A.H.Ms, NCC, RSP, Scouts and guides, NSS. A separate room for allocated sewing class, library and laboratory were enriched with extra bench, books and shelves. Extra fans were also fitted in all classrooms in the academic year 1995-96.

As the proverb says ``HEALTH IS WEALTH`` ,our school had renovated the toilet with tiles, washbasins and water tapes. Our modified hygienic toilets are one among the best in popular schools. Intercom facilities from HM room to All classrooms were fixed.

In the 10th std Board exam 99% was achieved in the academic year 2000-2001. An open auditorium was built and named ``Perun Thalaivar K. Kamarajar Open Auditorium`` in the academic year 2002-2003. In the academic year 2003-04 and 2004-05, two computer labs and one computer class room was constructed above the open auditorium. To give importance for the education of the students separate rooms were allotted for physics, chemistry and biology labs. The physics lab was constructed in first floor during the academic year 2004-05. The computer labs were also enhanced in the academic year 2005-06. To celebrate the Golden Jubilee of our school in the academic year 2007-08, an foundation stone was laid on 03.12.2005 to construct the school Golden Jubilee Maaligai.
